Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Technician
Part-Time with Potential for Full-Time
Venture Leasing, LLC is seeking a dependable, practical, and self-directed Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Technician to assist with maintenance of our Pennsylvania-based rental, commercial, and farmers market operations.
This position is ideal for a true handyman / maintenance technician who can handle a variety of small repairs, property upkeep, grounds maintenance, and punch-list items without needing constant supervision.
Position Type
Part-time with potential for full-time.
Expected hours: 16–40 hours per week, depending on experience, availability, workload, and fit.
Work Area
Work will generally be in the Selinsgrove, Lewisburg, Snyder County, Northumberland County, and Union County area.
Pay
$20–$25 per hour, depending on experience, reliability, skill level, and ability to work independently.
Mileage will be reimbursed at the applicable IRS mileage rate when using a personal vehicle for approved work travel between work sites or for approved supply runs. Regular commute mileage to and from the assigned starting location or base is not reimbursed.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- General maintenance and repair work for rental, commercial, and farmers market properties
- Light carpentry, door repairs, trim repairs, hardware replacement, minor fixture repairs, and similar handyman work
- Minor plumbing repairs, such as leaks, faucets, toilets, drains, and basic troubleshooting
- Minor electrical-related tasks within skill and safety limits, such as switches, outlets, lights, bulbs, and fixtures
- Interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, patching, and surface preparation
- Grounds upkeep, including basic landscaping, cleanup, trimming, exterior appearance, and seasonal property needs
- Parking lot, walkway, exterior, and common-area upkeep
- Property inspections and completion of maintenance checklists
- Coordinating with and meeting contractors, vendors, or service providers as needed
- Taking and sending photos of work conditions, repairs, and completed tasks
- Picking up materials and supplies as approved
- Other facility, grounds, and maintenance tasks as assigned
Physical and Grounds Requirements
This position involves hands-on physical work. The person hired should be able to:
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Lift and carry materials, tools, and supplies reasonably required for maintenance work
- Use ladders, basic power tools, and common hand tools safely
- Walk properties, inspect buildings and grounds, and identify maintenance needs
- Perform basic grounds work, cleanup, trimming, exterior upkeep, and seasonal maintenance tasks
- Work around tenants, vendors, customers, staff, and contractors in a professional manner
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be:
- Dependable, honest, practical, and organized
- Able to plan, organize, and complete jobs without constant supervision
- Experienced with general property maintenance, handyman work, or similar trades
- Able to troubleshoot common maintenance issues and know when a licensed contractor is needed
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Capable of using a smartphone to text, email, send/receive photos, review documents, and follow maintenance checklists
- Willing to document work clearly and communicate job status
- Respectful and professional when communicating with tenants, vendors, customers, contractors, and staff
Requirements

- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
- Limited availability for occasional urgent maintenance needs preferred, though this is not intended to be a heavy on-call position
The company will provide approved materials, larger equipment, and specialty tools as needed.
Reporting
This position will initially report directly to ownership. Over time, reporting may shift to an Operations Manager or other designated supervisor.
Employment Classification
This position is intended to be a W-2 employee position.
Independent contractor arrangements may be considered for an established maintenance business or properly qualified contractor relationship.
