Job Overview:
Bellarmine is seeking a skilled Facilities Lead to oversee the maintenance and operation of our campus. The Facilities Lead will manage custodial operations, conduct facility audits, and support the maintenance and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across a 44-acre campus with nine buildings totaling over 250,000 square feet. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing building systems, coordinating contractors and vendors, supporting campus events, and monitoring resources to ensure efficiency and compliance with budgetary guidelines. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strong leadership, and a solution-oriented approach to ensure the campus remains safe and functional for campus operations.
Core Functions or Duties:
Operations & Maintenance

Supervise and enforce custodial contracts.

Inspect, maintain, and repair MEP systems across campus buildings.

Perform maintenance on buildings, athletic equipment, landscaping and irrigation systems.

Respond promptly to building emergencies and weather-related recovery efforts.

Operate and maintain a variety of building, landscaping and athletic field equipment.

Prioritize and respond to work orders (WOs) and urgent facility needs.
Campus Resources & Inventory

Manage campus vehicle fleet, including maintenance and replacement recommendations.

Support inventory management of campus resources, including MEP systems, tools and athletic equipment.

Coordinate waste removal and receptacle delivery with the City of Tacoma.
Event Support
-
Assist with setup and teardown for scheduled and unscheduled campus events.

Maintain and prepare event support materials and equipment.
Property Oversight
-
Monitor rental properties and respond to residents’ concerns.

Provide comprehensive support for both routine and elevated landscaping needs across 44+ acres of campus property, ensuring consistent aesthetics quality, safety, and environmental stewardship.
Collaboration & Reporting

Work collaboratively with all campus departments.

Provide input on budget planning, equipment condition and capital projects.

Monitor and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Assist in creating and reporting monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Conduct building audits and submit WOs for identified improvements.

Develop, implement and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in coordination with the Facilities Manager.
Competencies/Qualifications:
