Facilities Maintenance Technician

OBJECTIVE / GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Service and maintain facilities and facility equipment for Stein Distributing.

II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine building and equipment inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Conduct general repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, lighting and flooring.
  • Ensure janitorial supplies, cleaning chemicals, and bathroom products are fully stocked; coordinate with supply vendors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
  • Coordinate and oversee vendors and contractors for services and specialized repairs.
  • Support groundskeeping duties including snow removal, landscaping and exterior upkeep as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, completed work orders and inspections.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning facility environment for all employees and visitors.

  • SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the mechanic by transporting/shuttling vehicles when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience/Requirements:
  • Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
