Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Technician (2 Positions)
Riverside Country Club – Provo, Utah
Riverside Country Club is seeking two reliable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technicians to assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning club environment for our members and guests. This position works directly with the Facilities Manager to support general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the Club’s buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Our ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. Many skills can be taught on the job, but a basic understanding of general maintenance is helpful.
Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician assists with preventative maintenance, minor repairs, event support, and general upkeep of club facilities including the clubhouse, pool, tennis areas, parking lot, and grounds. This role helps ensure the club remains safe, clean, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities General Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs related to:
- Plumbing
- Electrical systems
- HVAC systems
- Mechanical equipment
- Drywall repair and painting
- Flooring care and repair
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks to extend the life of club assets
- Help troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues
- Assist with basic audio/visual equipment setup and support
Facility & Grounds Support
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of indoor and outdoor areas
- Assist with pool facility maintenance and chemical monitoring (training provided)
- Support event setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, equipment, room arrangements)
- Assist with inventory of tools, supplies, and maintenance materials
Inspections & Safety
- Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free environment for members and staff
- Assist with compliance with club policies and safety standards
Team & Member Support
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to complete projects and daily tasks
- Provide courteous and professional interactions with members and staff
- Assist other departments when needed to support club operations
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems preferred
- Ability to perform basic drywall repair and painting
- Ability to care for and maintain different types of flooring
- Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints is helpful but not required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to complete assigned tasks
- Willingness to obtain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (employer supported)
- Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to club needs
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable performing hands-on tasks, including occasional dirty or physical work
- Ability to crawl into tight spaces when necessary (rare)
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Occasional off-site errands may be required
Pay: $22.90 - $27.58 per hour
