Facilities Maintenance Technician

Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and maintenance of our facilities through hands-on technical expertise and effective problem-solving. Your contributions will directly impact the smooth functioning of our manufacturing environment, residential properties, or corporate facilities. Duties

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and interpret electrical schematics to identify faults.
• Conduct mechanical repairs including welding, plumbing, and HVAC system servicing to ensure operational efficiency.
• Lead small teams or supervise maintenance projects, coordinating tasks effectively to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
• Assist with residential painting projects and other facility upgrades to maintain aesthetic standards and safety compliance.
• Support manufacturing operations by maintaining production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime, and adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance across diverse environments.
• Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair, including reading schematics and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Hands-on welding skills combined with experience in residential painting are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors.
• Supervising experience demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing maintenance staff or projects.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards relevant to industrial or commercial facilities.
• Competence in using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment for electrical testing.
