JOB DESCRIPTION: FACILITIES MANAGER

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Facilities Manager will oversee the maintenance, safety, and efficient operations of all campus buildings, infrastructure, and related services. The role involves coordinating maintenance staff, managing vendor contracts, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting institutional events and activities through effective facilities management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supervise and coordinate maintenance of buildings, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, STP, water systems, and housekeeping.

· Plan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all campus assets and equipment.

· Ensure timely servicing of fire extinguishers, electrical and plumbing systems, water purifiers, and generators.

· Liaise with external contractors, vendors, and government bodies for compliance and service delivery.

· Monitor cleanliness, landscaping, security, and waste management.

· Maintain facilities-related records, stock registers, and utilization reports.

· Implement safety and emergency protocols in coordination with the Safety Committee.

· Support event setup, logistics, and infrastructure arrangements for academic and co-curricular programs.

· Plan and monitor facilities budgets and optimize operational costs.

· Contribute to the college’s sustainability and green campus initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Facilities Management / Administration or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in facilities, operations, or maintenance management (educational or institutional setup preferred).

· Strong knowledge of building systems, statutory norms, and vendor management.

· Excellent organizational and leadership skills with hands-on problem-solving ability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
