JOB DESCRIPTION – Facilities Manager

Position Title: Facilities Manager

Location: Corporate Office, Hyderabad (with travel to campuses as required)

Department: Facilities Management

Reports To: Senior Management

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee day-to-day campus facility operations across all locations

· Ensure timely maintenance of buildings, classrooms, IT labs, furniture, electrical, plumbing & civil works

· Manage housekeeping, security & campus ambience standards

· Coordinate preventive maintenance schedule with vendors & internal maintenance team

· Monitor AMC contracts, service providers & facility-related consumables

· Respond to emergency repairs, breakdowns & safety-related issues promptly

· Ensure statutory compliance for facilities, safety & fire equipment

· Manage facility budgets and cost-optimisation initiatives

· Maintain asset register & maintenance logs in system

· Coordinate with Principals, Operations team & SCM for facility needs

· Lead teams of: Maintenance technicians, Electricians, Plumbers, Supervisors or Admin In-charges, Housekeeping, Security Personnel

· Managing preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, classrooms, labs, AV rooms, auditoriums.

· Supervising electrical, civil, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair works.

· Overseeing maintenance contracts (AMC) for equipment, elevators, HVAC, DG sets, etc.

· Knowledge of Fire & Safety norms, building codes, and statutory requirements.

· Conducting safety drills, compliance audits, and facility checklists.

· Liaising with government authorities where required (Fire Dept., Municipality, etc.).

· Managing inventory of furniture, electrical equipment, campus assets.

· Overseeing procurement, repair cycles, warranty/AMC tracking.

· Preparing facility budgets for multiple campuses.

· Reducing operational costs through efficient vendor management and preventive maintenance.

Experience

· 6–12 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.

· Experience managing multi-location facilities (schools/educational institutions preferred).

· Strong knowledge of building maintenance, safety and security protocols, vendor management, and statutory compliance related to facilities.

· Ability to coordinate facility-related tasks with principals, campus heads, and admin staff.

· Experience standardizing processes and SOPs across all units.
