JOB TITLE: Facilities Manager

General Function:

The Facilities Manager oversees the Facilities Department and Staff with regard to the maintenance, repair, safety regulations, and contracted services for the buildings and grounds at C3; and ensures event setups are performed in support of the ministry activities at C3.

· Vendor Contracts; Scheduling & Adherence

· OSHA Regulations and Safety Training

Organizational Relationships:

Supervised by: Director of Church & Community Engagement

Direct Reports: Facilities Team Technicians

Essential Functions:

· Update and Maintain Preventive Maintenance Plan

· Monitor Corrective Maintenance needs and extent of service, equipment required, and type and number of maintenance personnel needed

· Receive and delegate Work Orders

· Monitor Facilities inventory, supplies, and equipment

· Coordinate with Facilities Leadership Team

· Obtain competing bids for all outsourced projects; provide recommendations on vendors and contractors based on cost, service, quality, etc.; schedule, direct, and supervise vendors and contractors to ensure adherence to contracts and required specifications; and make recommendations for savings required to meet future needs

· Maintain schedule of and oversee all required state and local inspections

· Stay updated on applicable OSHA regulations; schedule regular training on OSHA regulations and other safety procedures

· Oversight and scheduling of Facilities Staff; ensure that event setups are performed correctly and timely

· Maintain updated inventory of church assets and physical property; work with Director of Finance to maintain appropriate depreciation schedule of assets

· Recommend large capital expenditures related to repair and maintenance needs

· Collaborate on Facilities budget with Director of Church and Community Engagement, and maintain records of labor and material cost for operating buildings and grounds in order to comply with Facilities budget

· Meet weekly with Director of Church & Community Engagement to review tasks

· Effectively communicate with Supervisor and Direct Reports any staff issues, concerns, or suggestions pertaining to facility use, abuse, modifications, or improvements

· Hire, train, coach, review, and reward Direct Reports to ensure maximum productivity

· Constantly seek ways to enhance the optimum use of our facility and provide a better worship environment

· Other duties as assigned by Director of Church & Community Engagement

Management Responsibilities:

· Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training direct reports

· Plan, assign, and direct work of direct reports

· Create staff schedules

· Appraise performance, reward, and discipline direct reports

· Address complaints and resolve conflicts/problems

Education and Experience:

· 4 years previous experience in facility management (church facility management a plus) or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Experience with eSpace, eScheduler, and Work Order & Asset Management software a plus

Interpersonal Skills:

· Should concur with and exhibit competencies in or the ability to adapt to the Staff Core Values

· Ability to relate to diverse people at all levels of an organization

· Excellent skills in staff supervision and motivation
