JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Facilities Supervisor

Reports to: Facilities Director

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary: Responsible for overall maintenance and housekeeping of the interior and exterior of the Casino property. Ensures maintenance schedules of all electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling systems, landscaping, parking lot and building.

Essential Duties:

• Train staff members
• Hire, discipline, evaluate and interview employees
• Scheduling of employees
• Inventory
• Ordering supplies
• Maintaining and updating MSDS book
• Training of staff.
• Scheduling and assignment of duties.
• Lead role in keeping overall compliance with maintenance and housekeeping personnel with casino policy and procedures, internal controls and applicable safety guidelines.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner while at the workplace.

Education and Experience:

• Requires a current driver license.
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• Able to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
• Must have 1 year of experience in maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, machinery and all other maintenance problems by taking appropriate action as required.
• Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to multi-task, communicate effectively in both verbal and writing.
• Ability to deal with diversity
• Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English

• Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs/ladders, work in small spaces, walk and reach overhead.
• Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
• Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals bio hazardous materials, dirt dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
• Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Exhibit manual dexterity to enter data into a computer.
• Able to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
• Hear and understand speech at normal levels, outdoors and on the telephone.
• Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly.
• May periodically require work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, under sometimes stressful conditions in order to meet business needs and strict deadlines.
