The Facilities Supervisor – HVAC/Chiller will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC and chiller systems within the facility. The role ensures optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. The supervisor will coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all building occupants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers, and associated equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC/chiller issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance, repair, and installations.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and service reports.
- Monitor energy usage and recommend energy-saving initiatives for HVAC and chiller systems.
- Assist in budget planning for HVAC maintenance, repairs, and replacement projects.
- Train and supervise junior technical staff and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Respond to emergency situations, including equipment failures and system breakdowns.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in HVAC, Chiller systems, or refrigeration is an advantage.
- Proven experience (3–5 years) in HVAC and chiller maintenance and operations.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and associated controls.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in mechanical systems operations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
