The Facilities Supervisor (Mechanical) is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and performance of all mechanical systems and equipment within the facility. This includes HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, water systems, and other mechanical infrastructure. The role ensures optimal functionality, preventive maintenance, and compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations and maintenance of all mechanical systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, water supply, sewage, etc.).
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime.
- Lead and guide a team of technicians, allocating work and monitoring performance and quality.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance, identify faults, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for repair works, AMCs, and project activities.
- Maintain updated records of maintenance logs, checklists, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within facility operations.
- Assist in preparing budgets, spare part requirements, and maintenance cost control.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support during facility upgrades, renovations, or new installations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3-year Diploma in Mechanical or a related discipline.
- 12–15 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and other mechanical systems.
- Experience in handling vendor coordination, AMC management, and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of BMS systems and energy management will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of safety standards and statutory compliance requirements.
