The Purpose of the Facilities Technician is to support the mission of Bridgeway Academy and Bridgeway Therapy Center by ensuring that all facilities are clean, safe, functional, and welcoming for students, staff, families and visitors. This role maintains building systems and grounds in a manner that reflects Bridgeway’s commitment to excellence, inclusion and safety.

Technical Maintenance Expertise-Applies broad technical skills across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems. Diagnoses and performs repairs efficiently and effectively. Maintains tools, materials, and safety standards in all work areas.

Preventive Maintenance Planning-Implements and documents proactive inspection and maintenance schedules to minimize disruption and ensure the long-term functionality of facilities and equipment.

Safety & Compliance Awareness-Ensures adherence to all building codes, safety policies, and relevant regulations. Identifies risks, reports concerns promptly, and contributes to maintaining a culture of safety and compliance.

Collaboration & Communication-Communicates clearly and respectfully with colleagues, vendors, and leadership. Coordinates maintenance schedules, provides timely updates, and works collaboratively to resolve issues.

Resource Management-Uses time, materials, and budget resources responsibly. Oversees vendor work to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications/Abilities
- 
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
- 
Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance, construction or related field
- 
Regular hours: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM with occasional evenings or weekends as required
10:00am-6:30pm with occasional evenings and weeknds.
