THG Experience is seeking an experienced Facilties Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining the mechanical, electrical, and other systems within our luxury hospitality venues: King Street Townhouse Hotel & Spa and Hale Country Club & Spa.
As a Facilties Technician you will:
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems
Conduct small fix and re-decorative works including painting, wallpapering, joinery, and carpentry to high visual standards
Maintain and operate HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building management systems
Manage a small portfolio of wet leisure facilities including spa pool, steam room, and gym equipment
Conduct temperature monitoring and Legionella compliance tasks
Perform facility inspections and report conditions affecting operations
Escort specialist contractors and collaborate with them as required
Respond promptly to emergencies and comply with all safety procedures
Support after-hours building needs and activities as necessary
Perform other assigned tasks as requested
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a luxury hospitality or leisure environment, with repair, fault finding, and problem-solving skills
Relevant mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ, ONC, OND) would be advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Ability to plan ahead and prioritise workload effectively
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Positive 'can do' attitude and proactive approach to work
Good computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office packages
