Position Overview: Facilities Tech

The position shall include, but may not be limited to, the following duties, skillsets &/or position requirements:

High Properties is looking for someone who is self-motivated and can think independently. This job requires basic customer service skills and the ability to work with others in a sometimes fast-paced atmosphere. This individual will be responsible for the daily upkeep of more than 200 units in Corridor(Cedar Rapids/Marion/Iowa City). At least 1 year of experience in building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrical work is strongly preferred but not required. Example - Fair Housing.

Job responsibilities: Perform all daily assigned work. Install appliances. Perform basic plumbing jobs. Perform basic electrical work. Follow company rules and city and state regulations. Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed and within reason. Load and unload parts/supplies/equipment from the maintenance shop to the work vehicle. Use basic power tools and provide your own basic tools, including hand tools, electric tools, plumbing tools, and shop vacuums. Work with the maintenance team to get jobs done. Have the ability to listen and follow instructions as directed. Read and understand company manuals and other written instructions.

Skills: Handle physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, and lifting at least 50 pounds. Communicate effectively with the facilities manager and other company managers.

Pay based on experience and field-related certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
