Position Summary

The Facilities Technician is a part-time operations role responsible for ensuring that Promise Land

Church's facilities remain safe, functional, welcoming, and ministry ready. This position oversees

facility operations, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and campus readiness to support

worship experiences, ministry programs, special events, and daily church operations.

This role is ideal for a dependable, solutions-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining

excellent environments and understands that behind-the-scenes excellence helps create life-

changing ministry experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Operations & Maintenance

  • Manage all aspects of church facilities across the campus, including building, grounds, and

equipment

  • Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, organized, and welcoming
  • Work with administrators to develop and oversee preventative maintenance plans
  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and maintenance projects
  • Oversee janitorial services and facility readiness
  • Maintain accurate records for repairs, maintenance, and facility improvements

Vendor & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Assist with facility upgrades, repairs, and construction projects
  • Monitor project timelines and operational needs

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and facility regulations
  • Identify and prioritize facility improvement opportunities
  • Support special events and ministry gatherings as needed
  • Maintain operational readiness across all church environments

  • Build positive relationships with staff, volunteers, ministry leaders, vendors, and community partners
  • Support a culture of hospitality, service, and operational excellence

Minimum Qualifications

  • Facilities management or related operational experience strongly preferred
  • Experience coordinating maintenance projects and vendors
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of building maintenance and repair procedures
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
  • Dependable vehicle and transportation

Schedule

Typical schedule includes:

  • Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Saturday: As needed to support ministry activities and facility needs
  • Sunday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Additional flexibility and availability may be required for special events, projects, and other church-related activities as needed

Compensation

  • Part-Time Position averaging 25-30 hours per week
  • Compensation is based on experience
