Overview
Join our team as a Facility Cleaner and play an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the children and families we serve. In an ABA therapy setting, cleanliness and sanitation are critical to supporting the health, safety, and overall experience of our clients. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining a structured, hygienic space where children can learn and thrive.
Candidates must be available at least two days per week for cleaning (One week day after 4:00 PM and one weekend day).
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout therapy rooms, common areas, restrooms, offices, kitchens, and staff spaces
- Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces
- Follow strict sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, including proper use of cleaning products and disinfectants
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and hygiene materials
- Assist with minor facility upkeep such as organizing storage areas and reporting maintenance needs
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of illness and maintain compliance with applicable standards
Experience
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred, especially in healthcare, childcare, or educational settings
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and safe handling of cleaning products
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent cleanliness standards
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Comfortable working in an environment with children
