The Facility Engineer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and safety of building systems and infrastructure. This role ensures that all facilities are functioning efficiently and in compliance with safety standards, while supporting daily operations and responding promptly to maintenance and technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure all facilities and equipment are maintained in safe and optimal working condition.
- Coordinate with technicians, contractors, and service providers for maintenance activities.
- Monitor and respond to service requests and ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Support project implementation related to facility upgrades, renovations, and improvements.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Liaise with clients and management regarding facility operations and service delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Proven experience in facility management or building maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in facility management systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Leadership skills to supervise maintenance teams.
