Job Overview

Eshratex Spinning S.A.E is seeking an experienced and dedicated Facility Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Alexandria, Egypt. The ideal candidate will have substantial industrial experience and will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and safety of our state-of-the-art textile manufacturing facility. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our production capabilities and upholding our commitment to world-class quality by managing our advanced machinery and plant infrastructure.

Established in 2006 near Alexandria, Egypt, EshraTex Spinning S.A.E is a world-class textile group with 45,000 spindles, specialised in producing 100% cotton, Fine and Superfine count yarns. We pride ourselves on using state-of-the-art technology from leading global manufacturers, including RIETER, Schlafhorst, Savio, LUWA, and XORELLA. Our facility is equipped with a comprehensive USTER Laboratory, ensuring our products consistently meet the highest quality standards in the international textile industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, compressed air systems (LUWA), and utilities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance programme for all production machinery and facility equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Manage and coordinate all facility-related projects, from equipment installation and upgrades to structural modifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner to support continuous production.
  • Ensure the facility complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Manage relationships with and supervise external contractors and service providers for specialised maintenance and repair work.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and facility-related documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of the facility's operational budget and manage maintenance-related expenses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Facility Engineer or Maintenance Engineer within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience in the textile industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial plant systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and compressed air.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and managing preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external contractors.
  • Familiarity with the maintenance of sophisticated manufacturing equipment, such as that from RIETER, Schlafhorst, or Savio, would be a significant advantage.
