Facility Worker / General Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Facility Worker / General Laborer to join our recycling operations team. In this hands-on role, you will support daily warehouse and processing activities, including e-waste disassembly, material sorting, equipment operation, and site maintenance. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help ensure the facility remains safe, organized, and operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as forklifts and other machinery to move pallets, load/unload trucks, and support material handling
• Disassemble electronic waste using hand and power tools, separating materials into core components
• Sort single-stream recycling materials and operate baling machinery to prepare materials for processing and shipment
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks to maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Assist with waste management operations, including recycling, material recovery, and disposal processes
• Conduct basic inspections of equipment and work areas to identify safety hazards or maintenance needs
• Support internal logistics by moving materials efficiently throughout the warehouse and processing areas
• Maintain compliance with all safety standards and contribute to a clean, hazard-free workspace

Schedule & Hours

We offer a flexible, drop-in style schedule that allows you to “make your own hours,” providing adaptability to fit your availability.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is preferred but not required
• Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs and remain active throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and performing physically demanding tasks
• Strong attention to detail, especially when sorting materials and meeting accuracy standards
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to get hands-on with disassembly work and general facility duties
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Work Environment

This is an active, hands-on role in a fast-paced recycling warehouse environment. Employees should expect physical work, use of tools and machinery, and exposure to various recyclable materials.

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
