The Factory Coordinator will be responsible for overall coordination between all factory departments to ensure smooth, efficient and disciplined day-to-day operations. This role acts as a central link between production, planning, stores, quality, dispatch, maintenance and management, ensuring timely execution of work, proper communication and operational control.
Key Responsibilities:1. Inter-Department Coordination
- Coordinate activities between Sales, Production, Planning, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance and Dispatch departments.
- Ensure smooth flow of information, materials and work instructions across departments.
- Follow up on inter-department dependencies to avoid delays and bottlenecks.
2. Production & Operations Support
- Monitor daily production schedules and progress against targets.
- Coordinate manpower allocation and shift planning in consultation with department heads.
- Track job cards, work orders and production priorities.
- Ensure adherence to planned timelines and delivery commitments.
3. Planning, Scheduling & Follow-up
- Assist in production planning and sequencing of jobs.
- Track pending jobs, delays and rescheduling requirements.
- Regularly follow up with concerned teams to ensure closure of pending tasks.
4. Material & Stores Coordination
- Coordinate with stores and purchase team for availability of raw materials, consumables and accessories.
- Monitor material shortages and escalate to management proactively.
- Ensure proper documentation of inward, outward and internal material movement.
5. Quality, Safety & Discipline
- Coordinate with quality team to ensure inspections are carried out as per plan.
- Ensure adherence to factory rules, safety norms and housekeeping standards.
- Report non-conformities, safety issues or process gaps to management.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily operational reports, production status, manpower reports and dispatch status.
- Prepare and circulate coordination notes, action points and follow-up reports.
- Support management with data required for reviews and decision-making.
7. Communication & Liaison
- Act as a single point of contact for operational coordination within the factory.
- Communicate management instructions clearly to concerned departments.
- Escalate critical operational issues with suggested solutions.
8. Continuous Improvement Support
- Identify process gaps, coordination issues and improvement opportunities.
- Support implementation of systems, SOPs and best practices.
- Assist management in improving productivity and operational efficiency.
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate / Diploma holder (Any discipline)
- Engineering, Production, Mechanical or Industrial Management background preferred.
Experience:
- 2 to 7+ years of experience in factory operations / coordination role.
- Experience in manufacturing environment is mandatory.
- Exposure to HVAC, fabrication, sheet metal, doors or industrial products will be an added advantage.
