Factory Head

We are seeking an accomplished Factory Head to lead the end-to-end operations of our client which is a prominent player in steel fabrication industry based in Buraimi, Oman . This senior leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with Omani regulations, delivering production targets, and fostering a strong safety and performance culture. The role involves close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders across Oman.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall operations of the rolling mill, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
• Deliver daily and weekly production targets aligned with company objectives and local market demand.
• Ensure full compliance with Omani labor laws, HSE standards, and environmental regulations.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices and modern automation to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Oversee raw material procurement and consumption (billets, scrap, alloys) with strict cost control.
• Maintain international steel quality standards for both domestic and export markets.
• Build, lead, and develop a diverse workforce through recruitment, training, performance management, and motivation.
• Champion a strong safety culture through audits, drills, and a zero-incident mindset.
• Manage budgets, operating costs, and spare parts inventory effectively.
• Coordinate closely with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely customer deliveries.
• Represent the mill in interactions with government authorities, suppliers, and clients across Oman and the GCC.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Industrial).
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in steel rolling mills, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role .
• Strong expertise in rolling mill technology, steel grades, and process automation.
• Demonstrated success in production optimization, cost reduction, and operational turnaround.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and modern manufacturing tools.
