Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Factory Manager to oversee the production operations of our corrugated box manufacturing unit. The Factory Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth plant operations, maintaining product quality, managing the workforce, and driving efficiency in line with company goals. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of corrugated packaging manufacturing, and the ability to implement process improvements to maximize productivity while minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the corrugated box manufacturing factory.

Ensure smooth functioning of the production process to meet delivery deadlines and quality standards.

Supervise and manage staff, including machine operators, supervisors, and support staff.

Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to achieve maximum efficiency.

Maintain strict quality control procedures to ensure products meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Ensure regular preventive maintenance of machinery and reduce downtime.

Implement and monitor safety standards, ensuring compliance with statutory and company policies.

Manage inventory of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods to avoid stock-outs or wastage.

Control operational costs, optimize resource utilization, and improve production processes.

Liaise with the sales, procurement, and logistics teams for smooth coordination.

Train, motivate, and evaluate employees to enhance their performance and skill levels.

Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, productivity, and challenges to management.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing/Kaizen/5S) to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or related field.

5–10 years of proven experience in factory/plant management, preferably in corrugated packaging or paper industry.

Strong knowledge of corrugated box production processes, machinery, and quality control standards.

Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.

Strong understanding of factory safety, compliance, and labor laws.

Ability to handle pressure and make quick, effective decisions.

Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
