Factory Manager- Exhibitions and Events

1. Production Planning & Workflow Management

• Plan and schedule production for exhibition stands, custom booths, and event structures based on project timelines.
• Allocate resources (machinery, manpower, materials) to ensure projects meet design specifications and delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to align production with client requirements.

2. Workshop Operations & Supervision

• Oversee daily operations across carpentry, metal, painting, electrical, graphics, and CNC departments.
• Monitor progress of fabrication activities and ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Resolve technical or operational bottlenecks that affect production flow.

3. Quality Control & Compliance

• Implement quality standards and inspection procedures for all fabricated components before dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire codes, and structural integrity requirements for exhibition builds.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain production accuracy, durability, and aesthetic standards.

4. Team Leadership & Staff Management

• Supervise and lead workshop staff, including carpenters, fabricators, painters, electricians, technicians, and helpers.
• Conduct training on new materials, tools, safety procedures, and fabrication techniques.
• Manage shift planning, performance evaluations, and workforce discipline.

5. Materials & Resource Management

• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials (wood, metal, acrylic, graphics, hardware).
• Oversee inventory control for tools, consumables, machinery parts, and production supplies.
• Optimize usage of materials to minimize wastage and control costs.

6. Machinery & Equipment Maintenance

• Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of workshop machinery such as CNC routers, panel saws, welding machines, spray booths, and hand tools.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate repairs with specialists.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.

7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workshop environment.

8. Project Coordination & Delivery

• Communicate with project managers about production progress, challenges, and timelines.
• Oversee packaging, loading, logistics preparation, and timely dispatch to event sites.
• Support installation teams with technical guidance during on-site build-up.

9. Cost Control & Efficiency Improvement

• Monitor labor productivity, machine utilization, and material consumption.
• Identify opportunities for reducing waste, improving efficiency, and adopting better fabrication methods.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices tailored to exhibition stand production.

10. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain records of daily production, material usage, labor hours, and machinery performance.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports for senior management.
• Track KPIs related to quality, efficiency, and delivery performance.
