Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and engaging Chemistry Faculty Member for the Preparatory Year Program. This role focuses on delivering foundational chemistry courses to pre medical students, building strong scientific understanding and preparing them for advanced healthcare studies.

Key Responsibilities Teaching & Academic Delivery

• Deliver Chemistry lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for preparatory year students
• Simplify core concepts such as general chemistry, basic organic chemistry, and chemical principles
• Apply student centered teaching methods to enhance engagement and comprehension
• Utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools effectively
• Prepare and administer assessments (e.g., ExamSoft)
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic reports

Student Support

• Provide academic advising and support for foundation level students
• Identify and support students facing academic challenges
• Encourage analytical thinking and problem solving skills

Academic Quality & Compliance

• Ensure alignment with academic policies, quality standards, and accreditation requirements
• Contribute to course development and continuous improvement
• Submit course reports and academic documentation on time
• Participate in departmental meetings and academic initiatives
• Collaborate with faculty to ensure consistent curriculum delivery

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a related field
• Experience teaching Chemistry (preferably preparatory/foundation programs)
• Strong ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, structured way
• Familiarity with LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools
