Fall Protection Trainer

Purpose of The Job:

Enhancing Occupational Safety:
The need to increase employee awareness and training on fall prevention methods, especially in high-risk or elevated work environments, to ensure their safety and reduce workplace injuries. Provide training for client personal on fall protection at their location.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to working at heights.
• English language capabilities, Arabic would be a plus
• Proficiency in the use of fall protection equipment (e.g., safety harnesses, lifelines, anchorage systems).
• Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to deliver information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to develop training materials and conduct structured training sessions.
• Physical ability to perform work at height and confined spaces practical sessions
• Good teaching skills (previous teaching experience or equivalent will be a plus)
• Soft skills in reviewing, planning, organizing and evaluating course programming and service delivery
• Valid driving license and ability to be able to drive without restriction (Middle East region and to government sites)
• Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
• Fall protection industry experience and knowledge
• Experience and certification in working at height and confined space including equipment procedures and practice
• Competent Person Inspection of PPE

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Training Program Development & Delivery

• Design and deliver specialized fall protection training programs tailored to oil and gas work environments.
• Train employees in the proper use of fall protection equipment, including:
• Safety harnesses
• Anchorage systems
• Working at heights
• Confined space entry
• Rescue at highest
• Incorporate real-life scenarios such as:
• Working on drilling rigs
• Dockyard and port operations
• Elevated maintenance tasks in workshops

2. Emergency & Rescue Training

• Train teams on rescue procedures in case of falls, especially:
• Overboard (fall into water) scenarios
• Falls on vessel surfaces
• Conduct emergency drills and simulation exercises.
• Coordinate with internal fire safety and emergency response teams.

3. Safety Awareness & Culture

• Promote awareness of fall protection best practices among employees.
• Deliver toolbox talks and short safety briefings.
• Encourage proper and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain records of all training sessions and attendance.
• Prepare reports on:
• Training outcomes
• Incidents and near misses
• Monitor employee compliance and evaluate performance.

5. Compliance with Regulations

• Ensure company compliance with local and international safety regulations.
• Update training programs based on:
• Regulatory changes
• Industry best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼2,500.00 - ﷼3,500.00 per month
