Family Assistant / Nanny – Before & After School (3 Boys)

Location: Reno, NV 89521
Schedule: Weekdays, split shift (mornings + afternoons)
Pay: $25+/hr depending on experience

About the Position

Pb+J Collective is excited to partner again with a returning family who is seeking a dependable and proactive Family Assistant / Nanny to support their three school-aged boys.

This is a blended role combining childcare and light household support, perfect for someone who enjoys working with older children while also helping maintain structure and flow within the home. The family values consistency, positivity, and someone who naturally takes initiative.

The position includes both morning and afternoon shifts; however, the family is open to candidates who are only available in the afternoons, as that is their greatest need.

About the Children

• 12-year-old boy
• 7.5-year-old twin boys

Two of the children are on the autism spectrum (mild), so the family would love to find someone who is patient, supportive, and ideally has experience working with neurodivergent children in a respectful and encouraging way.

The boys benefit from structure, clear communication, and a calm, steady presence.

What the Role Looks Like

Morning Responsibilities:

• Helping the boys get ready for school
• Supporting breakfast routines
• School drop-offs

Afternoon Responsibilities:

• School pickups
• Driving to activities
• Engaging with the boys at home or planning simple activities
• Supporting homework and after-school transitions
• Encouraging independence and responsibility

Family Assistant Duties:

• Loading/unloading the dishwasher
• Laundry support (switching, folding)
• General organization and household upkeep
• Guiding children in tidying their own spaces

Schedule & Commitment

• Monday–Friday split schedule
• Mornings: 7:00 am – 9:30 am (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri)
• Afternoons:
• 3:15 pm – 6:00 pm (most weekdays)
• 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm (Wednesdays)
• Afternoon availability is the priority
• Opportunity for occasional additional hours, including weekends, when parents travel
• Seeking a commitment through at least the end of the year, with potential to continue longer-term
