Family Assistant/Nanny

Overview

We are looking for a proactive, organized Family Assistant to join our household in a hybrid capacity.

This role is uniquely structured: you will spend part of your week focused entirely on infant development, and a dedicated day of the week focused on household management and organization. This is the perfect role for someone who loves the magic of the "first year" but also finds deep satisfaction in turning a "maximalist" space into an organized, functional home.

The "Split-Duty" Model

To ensure you can give 100% focus to each task, the responsibilities are divided by day:

Nanny Focus Days (Approx. 20 Hours/Week)

  • Priorities: Safe, loving, and attentive infant care.
  • Development: Engaging in intentional play, language milestones, and motor skill activities.
  • Routine: Maintaining feeding, sleep, and diapering schedules.
  • Expectation: On these days, your only "house" duties are maintaining the nursery ecosystem (baby laundry and bottle prep).

House Management Focus Day (Approx. 4-5 Hours/Week)

  • Priorities: The "Weekly Reset." This is your time to work through the home without primary childcare responsibilities.
  • Organization: Implementing and maintaining systems for a "maximalist" household. You will tackle closets, toy rotation, and general clutter.
  • Kitchen Upkeep: Deep tidying, refrigerator organization, and ensuring the kitchen is reset for the weekend.
  • Decluttering: Identifying items for donation or resale and keeping shared living areas streamlined.

Why This Role is Great

  • Focus: You never have to choose between a crying baby and a messy kitchen.
  • Guaranteed Pay: We provide payment bi-weekly on Fridays.
  • Respect: We value the "Manager" side of your title and provide the autonomy you need to organize our space effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Infant Expertise: Minimum 3 years of professional experience with infants.
  • The "Organizer" Mindset: You must genuinely enjoy organizing. If you find peace in a labeled bin or a color-coded closet, you are who we are looking for.
  • Reliability: We are looking for a long-term partner, not a temporary fix.
  • Logistics: Must have reliable transportation, be 18+, and be CPR/Infant Safety certified.
  • Vetting: Willing to complete background checks and social media screening.

Who Is a Great Fit?

  • The Proactive Specialist: You see a cluttered drawer and want to fix it.
  • The Developmental Expert: You understand infant milestones and enjoy being an active part of our child’s growth.
  • The Professional: You value clear communication and a predictable, structured schedule.
