About the Opportunity:
Our Family Empowerment Professionals are at the heart of our mission, providing crucial support to families and parents. Based at our Outreach Centers, you will manage a caseload through home visits, phone support, basic needs drop-offs, off-site visits, and parent education. This role requires dedication to delivering differentiated in-home support tailored to client needs, acting as a positive role model, and bringing your therapeutic skills to make a tangible difference. You will be responsible for achieving 70 client contact hours per month, maintaining meticulous records, and working collaboratively with Nursery staff to meet family needs.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):
- Connect with families within 72 hours of Nursery discharge via the "first call" process.
- Assess families for either the Family Stabilization or Crisis Intervention track, providing relevant referrals and resources.
- Deliver in-home support including crisis intervention, case management, parent education, and counseling based on individual family needs.
- Provide concrete support by coordinating item drop-offs for families.
- Lead and develop engaging Parent Education Groups (PEGs) based on client needs, communicating plans a month in advance.
- Maintain a welcoming, mission-focused, and professional demeanor with clients, colleagues, students, volunteers, and community partners.
- Complete community event forms and enter data within 72 hours.
- Uphold professional standards by adhering to the Code of Ethics.
- Mentor practicum students (as assigned), supporting their educational journey.
- Identify and refer potential Parent Advisory Board members to the Director.
- Manage in-kind donations: accept, document, sort, and arrange for appropriate disbursement.
What You Bring (Requirements):
- Must be at least 21
- Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Preferred: Provisional or full licensure in Social Work or Counseling in the State of Missouri.
- Home Visiting experience preferred
For Licensed Professionals, additional responsibilities include:
- Providing counseling and clinical interventions within your scope of practice.
- Differentiating notes based on service provided, utilizing therapeutic note features.

- Expertise in strength-based philosophy, solution-focused goal setting, child development (birth-12 years), and parent coaching techniques.
- Understanding of supporting clients through crises like domestic violence and suicidality.
- Proven ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Strong collaborative problem-solving skills with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organizational skills for effective case management and timely follow-up.
- A calm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach in sensitive situations.
- Proficiency in computer software, database systems, and a willingness to stay current with technology.
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations to small groups.
- Agility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
- A growth mindset and be an avid learner.
- A demonstrated commitment to cultural inclusiveness and sensitivity.
Working Conditions:
Role consists of some office time as well as services in the field, requiring reliable transportation. In-home environments may be noisy. Occasional exposure to bodily fluids or other potential hazards may occur. Office work is in a temperature-controlled, well-lit building, often shared with colleagues, students, and volunteers.
