Hours: 9:00 am -5:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Location: Fayetteville, GA 30214, Hybrid, 2 days in office

Rate: $125k – $150k depending on qualifications

Summary:

Expectations:

• As a Family Law Associate Attorney, you will conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of other attorneys
• Prepare and/or edit legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
• Enjoy working for and with people of diverse ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds
• Conduct client case assessments
• Assist clients in determining the proper solutions to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
• Represent clients in court appearances
• Supervise paralegal staff
• Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
• Collaborate with clients, senior associates, and other staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution
• Learn and follow firm policies and procedures
• Meet monthly billable hour requirements

Skills:

• Must have a Georgia bar license in good standing
• At least 5 years of practicing as an attorney in Georgia family law is required; probate experience is a plus
• Experience using MyCase, Clio Manage, Adobe, Peach Court, MS Suite is required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required to work with all levels of clients, staff members, and other attorneys
