Family Law Attorney

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Family Law Attorney to handle a diverse caseload involving divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, domestic violence, and other family law matters. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation and negotiation skills, a client-centered approach, and a passion for helping families navigate complex legal situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in family law cases including divorce, custody, support, paternity, guardianship, and domestic violence matters.
• Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Provide compassionate and clear legal counsel to clients throughout the case lifecycle.
• Negotiate settlements and parenting agreements.
• Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and other attorneys.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the case management system.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the Louisville Bar Association.
• Minimum [3] years of family law experience preferred.
• Strong litigation and negotiation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases with strong organizational and time management skills.
• High level of professionalism, empathy, and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mediation or collaborative law experience.
• Familiarity with local family court procedures and judges.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
