Job Overview:
Slav Law, PC is a family law firm located in Austin, Texas. We are seeking a family law attorney to join our team. As a family law attorney, you will provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, prenuptial agreements, property division, and other family-related legal issues. You will advocate for your clients' interests and ensure that their rights are protected within the framework of family law regulations.
Duties:
- Consult with clients to understand their legal issues and objectives in family law matters.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on divorce proceedings, including property division, spousal support, and child custody arrangements.
- Draft legal documents such as petitions, complaints, motions, and agreements related to family law cases.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediation sessions, and court hearings pertaining to family law disputes.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws and precedents.
- Advocate for clients' rights and interests in court proceedings, presenting evidence and arguments effectively.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal professionals to ensure comprehensive representation for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of case proceedings, correspondence, and client communications.
- Provide compassionate support and guidance to clients navigating emotionally challenging family law issues.
- Stay abreast of developments in family law, attend continuing legal education courses, and maintain licensure to practice law.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Texas state bar and in good standing to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
- Empathy and sensitivity to the emotional dynamics of family law cases.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
