Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our legal team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law matters and the ability to independently manage cases from start to finish. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented attorney who can effectively advocate for clients while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining professional standards.

Duties

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, and modifications
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes efficiently
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding strategy and case status
• Maintain accurate and timely case records
• Collaborate with firm staff as needed

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of family law experience
• Ability to manage cases independently through resolution
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently
• Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis)
