Family Law Attorney

Bliss Law Firm is excited to welcome a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Associate Family Law Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate brings a strong legal foundation, a genuine desire to help families navigate challenging moments, and the ability to balance empathy with effective legal strategy.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services while continuing to grow your skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thoughtful and thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategy and preparation.
• Draft clear, well-reasoned legal documents, including pleadings, motions, agreements, and other filings in compliance with Washington State Family Law standards.
• Represent and advocate for clients in negotiations and litigation, always with professionalism and care.
• Provide sound legal guidance on family law matters, helping clients feel informed and supported throughout the process.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters while confidently managing your own caseload.
• Maintain organized and accurate case files and documentation.
• Stay current on changes in laws and regulations that impact our clients.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the state bar (Rule 9 applicants welcome).
• Knowledge of family law, estate planning, litigation, or related practice areas.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Excellent writing and legal drafting abilities.
• Familiarity with LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar research tools is preferred.
• Prior experience in a law office setting is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
• A collaborative, self-motivated mindset with a genuine commitment to client service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
