Family Law Attorney (REMOTE - Chicago)

Boutique 5-attorney, reputable Chicago Family Law Firm is seeking a highly-skilled, motivated new Associate Attorney with 2 + years of experience in family law to join its downtown CHICAGO office. (100% REMOTE or hybrid but you must be experienced with Family Law!)

SALARY: $90,000 to $135,000 (salary above this level would require you to be the "most qualified and best candidate we met.")

IDEAL CANDIDATE would have experience with all phases of ILLINOIS Family Law cases from intake through settlement/trial. Need to be able to manage a caseload of 25 to 35 family law files from intake to trial prep / mediation, including pleadings, motions, court appearances, legal research and writing, providing with the clients with sound legal advice on the issues they're presenting to us, issuing/answering written discovery, brief writing, managing your calendar properly, taking and defending depositions, mediation and trial prep.

While most courts allow Zoom attendance, some of our cases will be in the Collar Counties, including Kane, Will, McHenry, Lake and DuPage Counties. If those Judges require "in person" attendance, you will be expected to travel to those court houses and we will reimburse you for mileage.

You will receive assistance from our firm's Paralegal and Legal Assistant on your files.

JOB DUTIES:

• Perform legal research, draft legal documents, perform discovery, attend trials and hearings
• Create and implement policies and procedure within assigned practice group
• Monitor the status of cases to assure deadlines are met and work is complete in a timely manner
• Implement and use processes and technology that enhance the productivity of the legal team

MUST be currently licensed to practice law in ILLINOIS.
