Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized, full-time Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our Family Law attorney and assist in managing a busy caseload. This is an in-person position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform initial screening of clients

- Scheduling and tracking calendar events and deadlines

- Managing case files from initial consultation through to resolution

- Ongoing professional communication with clients, experts, courts, mediators, and opposing counsel.

- Collect, organize, and track incoming and outgoing disclosures and discovery

- Initial drafting of pleadings, motions, and other court filings

- Preparing exhibits for hearings.

Requirements:

- Desire and ability to learn quickly

- High level of organization and attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment

- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion

- Professional and compassionate interaction with clients experiencing high conflict situations

- Strong independence and initiative, able to anticipate deadlines, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision

- Ability to manage multiple active matters in a deadline-driven environment

- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe;

- Working knowledge of Excel

Desirable:

- Previous experience as family law paralegal

- Knowledge of family law and court procedures

- Working knowledge of Clio and/or Sharepoint

- Familiarity with domestic abuse and safeguarding procedures
