Family Law Paralegal – Full Case Management, Discovery, & Trial Prep

The Law Office of Kristi Barnard (Stockton, CA) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will be able to take a case from start to finish, with experience in discovery, law and motion, and trial preparation. This position offers exposure to a variety of practice areas, including family law, trust litigation, civil litigation, and personal injury.

Responsibilities

• Manage family law cases from inception through trial, including pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Draft and respond to discovery, subpoenas, and disclosure documents.
• Prepare and organize trial binders, exhibits, witness lists, and trial logistics.
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and scheduling with precision.
• Draft correspondence and provide client updates as directed.
• Provide support to attorneys in trust litigation, personal injury, and civil litigation matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of paralegal experience in family law or litigation.
• Familiarity with California civil procedure and litigation strongly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software.
• Willingness to learn new areas of law and expand skill set.

Compensation & Application Instructions

This is a full-time, in-office position located in Stockton, California. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
