Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing legal documents with courts in multiple counties
- Maintain and update client files using MyCase
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare and proofread legal pleadings, documents, and correspondence
- Communicate with clients, court staff, etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a family law paralegal or legal assistant is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Proficient in using MyCase, or other case management
- Familiarity with local court rules, regulations, and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- High level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
