JOB SUMMARY:
THE FAMILY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DIAGNOSING AND TREATING PATIENTS WITH PHYSICAL INJURIES, ILLNESSES AND DISEASES. BY LEADING A TEAM OF CLINICAL STAFF, THE DOCTOR WILL PROVIDE CARE TO EACH PATIENT. THEY WILL WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH THE ORGANIZATION LEADERS OF THE SERVICE AREAS INVOLVED. THEY SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR QUALITY, SAFETY AND SERVICE OF CARE PROVIDED AND ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES TO IMPROVE CARE, TREATMENT AND SERVICES AND MITIGATE THE RISK OF HARM FOR PATIENTS SERVED. THEY WILL PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE TO PATIENTS AND ASSURE THE PATIENTS ARE RECEIVING THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE AND
ATTENTIVE CARE.

PURPOSE:
Offer expert medical care, evaluate, treat, and help prevent illnesses and injuries that regularly occur in the general population.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the operation and success of medical services, clinical departments and clinical training services. Some of their typical daily duties include:

• Interviewing patients to obtain history, performing physical examination, ordering lab and other tests, prescribing medications and treatments.
• Providing continuity in managed care for patients with pre-existing long-term problems.
• Making referrals for secondary and tertiary care.
• Performing medical procedures, according to privileges issued.
• Providing health maintenance visits, evaluating for immunizations, and providing anticipatory guidance and referrals.
• Documenting all patient contact accurately and legibly on the medical record.
• Performing as an active member of the medical team.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A successful Doctor will have certain qualifications and skills in order to demonstrate their ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job effectively:

• An M.D. from an accredited medical school
• A current medical license
• Previous clinical experience beyond the required residency
• Board certification in a relevant specialization preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $180,000.00 per year
