Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a passion for providing high-quality patient care across diverse settings. This role involves working with patients of all ages, conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans while ensuring adherence to best practices in patient management. Also have experience in occupational health as an addition.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across various age groups.
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and administering injections.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide holistic care, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for efficient patient management.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
- Engage in telehealth consultations as needed to enhance patient access to care.
Experience
Candidates should have a robust clinical background with experience in various healthcare settings. Preferred qualifications include:
- Familiarity with gastroenterology, geriatrics, pediatrics, or internal medicine practices.
- Experience with assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical documentation practices.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and pain management strategies.
- Experience administering esthetic treatments such as botulinum toxin or dermal fillers is a plus.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and outpatient care settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
