Family Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages, utilizing your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, including medication administration, IV infusion therapy, suturing, and wound care.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and infectious disease care.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations using EMR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks; order and interpret laboratory tests and medical imaging; document findings accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication management, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications; coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care for outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Assist with procedures such as spinal taps, dermal fillers, Botox treatments (Botulinum toxin), catheterization, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and esthetic laser treatments.
  • Participate in telehealth consultations and case management activities to ensure continuous patient engagement and support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine units including ICU or Level I Trauma Center environments; support triage protocols in urgent care or emergency room settings.

Qualifications

  • Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or equivalent credentialing body.
  • Proven experience in primary care with proficiency in medical office operations using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth.
  • Demonstrated expertise in acute care settings including ICU experience, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine environments; familiarity with Level II Trauma Center procedures is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing processes.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (including toddler and neonatal care), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), assisted living residents, individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities of any kind.
  • Skills in performing clinical procedures such as suturing, venipuncture (phlebotomy), catheter care, airway management (ventilators), gastric lavage, spinal taps, and basic life support certification are essential.
  • Ability to handle complex cases involving pain management (acute pain), hospice & palliative medicine principles, occupational health issues including workers' compensation law compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient assessment discussions; capability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or inpatient units like PICU or Neonatal Ventilator units. Pay: $107,658.33 - $129,653.04 per year
