Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Duties

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients across various age groups, utilizing advanced clinical evaluation techniques.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, employing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following proper protocols and safety standards.
• Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers, spinal taps, and esthetic laser treatments when appropriate.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, and Cerner to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate care with specialists in gastroenterology, cardiology, infectious disease care, behavioral health, and other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
• Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practice standards.
• Provide patient education on topics such as family planning, nutrition, memory care, hospice & palliative medicine, and senior care.
• Support discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.

Requirements

• Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in primary care settings with proficiency in medical office operations and EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth.
• Demonstrated expertise in procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, catheterization, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and basic life support (BLS).
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory care), hospice & palliative medicine patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma center environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10) for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques across various clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to triage effectively during urgent or emergent situations in outpatient or inpatient settings.
• Ability to collaborate seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams across hospital medicine, emergency medicine, occupational health, home care services, and outpatient clinics. Pay: $109,084.28 - $131,370.31 per year
