Family Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and adult patients. Your expertise will support preventive health, acute and chronic illness management, and health education, all delivered in a patient-centered environment. Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop individualized care plans.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based practices, including medication administration, wound suturing, IV infusion, and pain management techniques.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, sonography, and basic laboratory testing to support accurate diagnosis.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner to document patient encounters, update medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide health coaching and education tailored to patient needs, including family planning, nutrition guidance, memory care strategies, and geriatric health maintenance.
  • Collaborate with specialists in areas such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, esthetic laser treatment, or hospice & palliative medicine as needed for comprehensive patient management.
  • Triage urgent cases in outpatient or telehealth settings, prioritizing care for patients with acute pain or critical conditions in Level I Trauma Center or ICU environments.

Requirements

  • Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification from an accredited program.
  • Proven experience in primary care settings with familiarity in medical office procedures and EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth.
  • Demonstrated competence in performing procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for documentation accuracy.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics (toddler care), geriatrics (memory care), assisted living residents, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Critical care experience preferred; familiarity with hospital medicine, emergency medicine (ER experience), ICU work or Level II/Level I trauma center exposure is highly valued.
  • Ability to perform complex assessments involving vital signs monitoring, airway management, ventilator support, and infection control protocols.

Pay: $108,596.01 - $130,782.29 per year
