Family Nurse Practitioner

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

Managed Care- Primary Care | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform comprehensive initial patient evaluations, including physical examinations and clinical observations
  • Advise patients regarding prescriptions, treatment plans, and follow‑up care
  • Obtain, document, and maintain detailed patient medical histories
  • Analyze diagnostic reports, test results, and physical examinations to assess patient conditions
  • Diagnose illnesses or injuries, formulate treatment plans, and establish prognoses
  • Demonstrate integrity, compassion, and professionalism with patients, families, and staff
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation, including ICD‑10 and CPT coding
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians as needed
  • Maintain CME and licensure requirements
  • Perform other duties customarily performed by an APRN
  • Remain compliant with all federal and state regulations and organizational policies

Education & Experience

  • Master’s Degree (M.A. or equivalent) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Must have prior experience working as an APRN in a primary care or comparable clinical setting

Certificates & Licenses

  • Active State APRN License
  • Valid national board certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, as applicable)
  • Current DEA registration

Required Skills & Abilities

Language Ability

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific journals, technical documents, and legal materials
  • Ability to respond effectively to patient inquiries, regulatory agencies, and healthcare partners

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect and evaluate data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions
  • Mathematical proficiency related to prescribing medications

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of EMR systems and patient databases

Work Environment

  • Moderate noise level
  • Fast‑paced, busy clinic setting

Physical Demands

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands
  • Occasionally required to sit, reach, and maintain balance
