Family Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services, perform health assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans for patients across all age groups. Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses utilizing evidence-based practices across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
  • Prescribe medications, including injections and IV infusions, following state and federal regulations while ensuring proper documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems like AthenaOne.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers, spinal taps, catheterizations, and sterile processing techniques with precision and adherence to aseptic protocols.
  • Collaborate with specialists in areas like gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and trauma centers to coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to care remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, medication administration, nutrition, family planning, and lifestyle modifications to promote wellness.
  • Participate in clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including children, seniors, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring memory or dementia care.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as AthenaOne for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT).
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and diagnostic evaluation method.
  • Ability to conduct triage assessments efficiently in urgent care or outpatient environments while managing complex cases involving hospital medicine or Level I trauma center protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills for case management discussions and patient education; experience working within multidisciplinary teams is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and utilization review processes; experience with medical imaging or laboratory specimen collection is advantageous.
