Family Nurse Practitioner

Essential responsibilities

  • Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.
  • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
  • Performs minor procedures in office in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations. Such as joint injections, toe nail removal, nexplanon placement, I&D and cryotherapy.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions and schedules patients for proper follow up.
  • Maintains proper documentation.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
  • Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.

Minimum qualifications

  • Prefer 3 years experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner; will consider new grad with strong medical background
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure, Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification and DEA license
  • Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
