We’re seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our outpatient family medicine clinic's team as a part‑time 1099 independent contractor. You’ll provide comprehensive, relationship‑based care to patients of all ages—focusing on prevention, chronic disease management, and timely treatment of acute conditions. This role is primarily in‑clinic; candidates seeking W‑2 employment or fully remote work should not apply.
Both experienced FNPs and new graduate Family Nurse Practitioners are encouraged to apply.
Compensation notice (read first): This position is compensated on a percentage‑of‑collections / percentage‑of‑revenue model. It is not hourly or salaried. See “Compensation & Contract Structure” below.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical exams and appropriate diagnostic evaluations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans
- Prescribe and administer medications (including injections) per safety and clinic protocols
- Perform in‑office procedures, including joint injections
- Provide patient education/counseling on prevention, wellness, and self‑management
- Collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care
- Document accurately and efficiently in EMR/EHR; maintain HIPAA compliance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support NCQA standards
- Maintain current knowledge of family medicine and geriatrics best practices
Required Qualifications
- Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification
- Active RN and ARNP (WA) licenses
- Valid DEA, NPI, and BLS
- Comfortable working as a 1099 independent contractor
- Ability to maintain a consistent part‑time clinic schedule (with capacity to grow)
- Strong clinical skills in primary care/family medicine
- Working knowledge of CPT and ICD‑10 coding
- Excellent communication skills; able to work effectively with diverse populations including children and seniors
- Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and commitment to patient‑centered care
New Graduate Applicants

Preferred Qualifications (but not required)

- Experience with telehealth (supplemental only; role is primarily in‑clinic)
- Confidence performing common office procedures (e.g., joint injections)
Compensation & Contract Structure
- 1099 independent contractor role
- Percentage‑based compensation tied directly to services rendered (percentage‑of‑collections / percentage‑of‑revenue)
- Competitive percentage offered based on experience and scope of practice
- Part‑time to start, with an opportunity to build toward full‑time patient volume
- Clinic provides scheduling, staff support, and infrastructure to promote efficiency and panel growth
