Family Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice RN - federal contract - IHS

Vision Quest Solutions is seeking experienced and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) and/or Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) to support the Pinon Health Center within the Navajo Area Indian Health Service in Arizona. This opportunity allows providers to make a meaningful impact in an underserved community while practicing broad-scope primary and acute care medicine in a collaborative clinical environment.

Position Overview

The selected provider will deliver comprehensive patient-centered care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations in an outpatient and walk-in clinic setting. Providers may also support teen clinics, community outreach, and acute care services based on facility needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Provide primary and urgent care services across the lifespan
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Educate patients and families on preventive care and chronic disease management
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or APRN license
  • National board certification
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent in-person clinical experience
  • Current DEA registration
  • Current BLS and CPR certification required
  • ACLS and PALS preferred or required depending on assignment
  • Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare setting
  • Experience in outpatient, ambulatory, urgent care, or community health

Preferred Experience

  • Indian Health Service, tribal health, rural health, or underserved community experience
  • Pediatric and family practice experience
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
