The Family Physician at Ibn Sina Medical Center will provide comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered primary care to individuals and families across all age groups. The role involves diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, emphasizing preventive health, lifestyle counseling, and holistic care. The physician will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality medical services in accordance with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum family medicine care, including preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services.
- Conduct detailed consultations, physical examinations, and health assessments for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and infectious diseases.
- Develop and monitor individualized care plans for patients and families.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies as required.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with approved clinical protocols.
- Offer counseling and education on nutrition, exercise, mental health, and disease prevention.
- Coordinate patient care with specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR).
- Participate in health promotion programs, clinical audits, and continuous professional development (CPD).
- Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, infection control standards, and clinical governance policies.
