Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive, acute, and chronic care, to diverse patient populations. This role involves utilizing advanced medical technologies and EMR systems to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The Family Medicine Physician will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes and promote patient well-being across all age groups.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, utilizing skills in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Develop personalized care plans, incorporating specialties such as pediatrics, geriatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, and mental health as needed.
  • Perform procedures including suturing, wound care, ostomy care, and basic airway management.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and other clinical software for documentation, order entry, and patient record management.
  • Coordinate with specialists for referrals involving cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, radiology (including interventional radiology), oncology, neurology, and more.
  • Participate in clinical research trials or quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care standards.
  • Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to maintain patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Engage in telehealth consultations when appropriate to expand access to care.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; experience with medical coding (CPT/ICD) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in outpatient primary care settings; inpatient or hospital medicine experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, pathology, and clinical evaluation techniques.
  • Skills in performing procedures like suturing, wound care, IV infusion, and basic airway management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including specialists in cardiology, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry, radiology, and others.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service and education.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to healthcare standards such as NCQA or hospital accreditation requirements.
