About the Role

We are seeking a Farm Hand / Operator to join our team in the Bundaberg region. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys variety, working outdoors, and contributing to a high-performing farm crew.

You'll support day-to-day orchard operations, including machinery operation, irrigation, maintenance, orchard care, and general farm tasks. You'll be part of a safety-focused team using modern equipment and regenerative practices.

What You'll Be Doing

Orchard & Farming Operations

• Carry out orchard care tasks including pruning, pest & disease monitoring, and weed control

• Support spray programs and maintain accurate application records

• Assist with crop monitoring, soil moisture checks, and tree health observations

Machinery & Equipment

• Operate tractors, sprayers, mowers and other orchard machinery safely

• Complete daily pre-start checks and routine servicing

• Assist with installation, maintenance and monitoring of irrigation systems

Maintenance & Infrastructure

• Basic repairs on equipment within your skill level

• Perform routine checks on pumps, filters, and irrigation components

• Report major maintenance needs to the Supervisor/Manager

Safety & Teamwork

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members

• Represent Wollemi Farms professionally in the community

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you are practical, positive, reliable, and enjoy hands-on farm work.

Skills & Experience

Previous farm or orchard experience preferred

Ability to operate farm/orchard machinery safely

Strong attention to detail

Good communication skills and a team-first attitude

Motivation to learn and grow in a progressive horticulture business

Enjoy working outdoors in a physically active role

Nice to Have

• ChemCert, Forklift ticket, First Aid Certificate

• Interest in regenerative agriculture

• Willingness to undertake Cert II-IV in Horticulture
